Your baby this week

Your belly’s increasing size is a definite clue that your baby is getting bigger every day. Your baby has now grown to about 39cm and weighs over 1.3kg. As your baby continues to grow, he/she takes up a larger part of your uterus.

Your baby’s eyes are also becoming more mature. He/she continues to open and shut his/her eyes and can tell the difference between light and dark.  Your little one can also probably see what’s going on inside your uterus.

Your body this week

You may be feeling a little tired nowadays days, especially if you’re having trouble sleeping. Its also normal to feel clumsier as the concentration of weight in your pregnant belly, causes a shift in your center of gravity.

With only 10 more weeks until your baby arrives, you can expect some of the following things to occur:

  • Stretch marks
  • Swelling of ankles and feet
  • Stronger fetal activity
  • Flatulence
  • Bloating
  • Constipation
  • Faintness or dizziness
  • Bleeding gums
