Avoiding a car seat mistake is a necessity. Four out of five safety car seats are used incorrectly by parents. Mistakes are very dangerous as this can lead to death.

Breasteeding alone burns up to 500 calories daily. Make sure food eaten is one which is very healthy for you. The right nutrients must be consumed. Your diet needs to include plenty of calcium, iron and protein. Calcium includes dairy products, greens, fresh juices, cereals, soy milk and yogurt.

There comes a time you will not be able to nurse your baby for several hours at a time. It could be that mummy has to get back to work, mummy has a dinner date, an unexpected trip or some time out to allow your nipple to heal if irritated.
In order to help you during times like this, here are guidelines for expressing and storing milk:

The first thing that comes into play here is choosing the best formula four your baby. Please do not feed your child cow’s milk from the dairy section of the store.Reasons being that such milk is not digested well by human infants, it contains a lot of protein that your baby’s kidneys will have difficulty processing and it contains a high amount of vitamin C and iron.

Your baby feeds directly from your breasts and not your nipple.  Your baby should be able to draw out your nipple (there are breast shells you can wear when you are on your third trimester onwards that can help to draw out the nipple). F you are having difficulties in drawing out the nipple, you can help your baby by first trying to express into a bottle; in the process this will help your nipple draw out.
